KBRN, Deli Serdang: PT Jakarta Setiabudi Internasional Tbk (JSI), the developer of Savanna Sumatera, has introduced a new residential type, Banyan, which will be built in Ananta Cluster. On the launch day, 80 percent of the planned 41 units were recorded as sold.
The General Manager of Residential Sales and Marketing at PT JSI, Mikhael Butarbutar, stated that this achievement serves as an early indicator of positive market response and further strengthens confidence in the next phase of development for the new cluster in the area.
Savanna Sumatera is developed based on JSI DNA standards, rooted in the principles of hospitality, service, solutions, experience, and community. Through JSI DNA, development is not solely focused on physical construction, but also on the quality of experience, service excellence, and the creation of a healthy, sustainable, and long-term value ecosystem.
Savanna Living Fest is designed as an annual event that brings together residents, communities, and local business players within a shared activity space. In addition to showcasing the progress of the area, the event aims to build traffic, engagement, and visitation habits—key factors in the growth of integrated residential developments and future commercial areas.
“A living city is one that offers reasons to be visited and lived in. Public activations like this help build a community engine, strengthen people’s emotional connection to the area, and open up local economic opportunities,” said Frangky Siahaan, Sales Manager of Savanna Sumatera at PT Medan Raya Perkasa.
“For us, investor and consumer trust is built through two key factors: execution consistency and governance. JSI DNA serves as the standard that safeguards both—from planning and product quality to community development,” he added during Savanna Living Fest 2025 – The Banyan Chapter, held at Savanna Sumatera, Deli Serdang Regency, on Sunday (December 14, 2025).
He further explained that, in line with the character of the Medan–Berastagi corridor, which is known for its cooler climate and lush environment, Savanna Sumatera encourages area development that integrates green open spaces, community activities, and agriculture-based community initiatives. Through this approach, the area is envisioned to become more resilient, relevant to the needs of modern families, and strongly differentiated in the market.
Savanna Sumatera is developed with the vision of “The Largest Satellite City in North Sumatera” and the concept of “Balanced Living Within Nature,” spanning over 650 hectares. The development includes residential areas, public facilities, open spaces, and commercial zones.
He also explained that the Banyan type is introduced as a new residential option featuring a contemporary design approach and functional spatial planning. Its presence expands choices for people seeking a calm living environment while remaining well-connected to urban activity centers.
